Reza Mirsaeedi

Reza Mirsaeedi (born June 15, 1995, in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian video game streamer, content creator, and esports commentator, best known by his online alias MySteam. From an early age, he was passionate about video games, starting his gaming journey with classic consoles such as Atari and Sega. With the rise of personal computers, he began playing more competitively in 2007, focusing on Counter-Strike and Warcraft III: Dota 1.

Over time, he became more skilled and immersed in gaming, eventually launching his professional career in 2018 by creating educational videos for Dota 2 and other Steam games on Instagram and Telegram. His clear voice and effective teaching style quickly drew attention, and some of his videos surpassed 100,000 views. By mid-2019, he expanded his presence to Twitch, where he began hosting and commentating on Dota 2 tournaments.

Initially, he organized and broadcasted one-on-one matches, later moving on to full five-versus-five team tournaments. His engaging commentary and consistent work earned him a reputation in the Persian gaming community. Despite technical challenges such as internet restrictions, censorship, and frequent power outages in Iran, he continued his efforts and eventually achieved a record-breaking 4,700 concurrent viewers and an average of 3,000 live viewers during the fifth season of his personal team tournaments — setting a new benchmark for online Dota 2 events in Iran.

Following these successes, Mirsaeedi attracted sponsorships and collaborations with several brands, including Lidoma and Hamishegi, as well as charity events featuring international professional players such as Dendi and AdmiralBulldog. Numerous online stores also sponsored his tournaments and streams, some becoming long-term partners in his content creation.

His income sources included multiple streams: Twitch advertising revenue, community donations, paid subscriptions (of which Twitch pays 50% to the streamer), game sponsorships, participation in the Steam marketplace through in-game item trading, and income from play-to-earn titles such as Axie Infinity, where he both competed and hosted events.

Mirsaeedi’s consistent activity helped revive enthusiasm among Iranian gamers — inspiring many veteran players to return, form teams, and re-engage with competitive gaming. His social media presence grew significantly, reaching over 50,000 followers on Instagram, 5,000 on Telegram, and more than 38,000 followers on Twitch, with a total watch time exceeding one million hours on Twitch alone.

Although his YouTube activity has been limited due to Iran’s internet filtering, he continues to expand his reach gradually. Alongside his gaming career, Reza completed his Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering, balancing his academic life with his passion for gaming.

Currently, he remains active in streaming and esports commentary while developing new ideas and projects related to gaming and online tournaments.
